Angels win Yankees series; Javier Vazquez Sucks; Girardi Mistake

Yeah, took me a while to file this game in the archives because it sucked. The Yankees have lost their first series of the 2010 baseball season, meaning their shot at Ruth and Gehrig’s 1926 is over. Considering that Javier Vazquez was the Yankees’ last hope to keep the streak going in Anaheim, we shouldn’t be surprised the Angels beat the Yankees. However, staked to a 3-0 lead, there’s just no defending Vazquez: Javier Vazquez sucks and should be called our “5th starter”, or he should be headed to the DL to figure out what’s wrong.

Robinson Cano looks like an MVP-candidate and Gold Glover right now, but his HR and Jorge Posada’s shot were wasted because Homerun Javy (1-3, 9.00 ERA) gave up 5 runs in 3.2 innings. Boone Logan and Alfredo Aceves kept the Yanks in the game, but the floodgates opened when Damaso Marte came on out in the 7th. There was a HUGE miscommunication between Marte, Fransisco Cervelli, and Joe Girardi. Girardi is now accepting full responsibility for stopping an intentional walk after ball one, and for allowing Marte to throw a 3-0 pitch to Kendry Morales. However, from what I saw, Girardi and his coaches were VERY clean that the 3-0 pitch should not have been thrown in Morales’ hitting zone, i.e. he wanted Marte to pitch around him

Anyway, the Yanks limp to Washington DC to see President Obama and wounded veterans before playing the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday.

I love how Heiji mistakes Conan's name as Kudo and then make up a pun or something to cover it up. x3

I presume you are from NY, since Win 4 is a game played only in NY.

Look at the date of each ticket,
Look at the time of draw (Day or Evening),
then go to the following site and compare them against winning numbers listed there.

    How about…

Melky Cabrera – Do it the Melky Way!
Johnny Damon – A Damon Dinger!
Jorge Posada – Jorgie Jacks One!
Doug Mienkiewicz – Man Oh Mienkiewicz!

Funny you brought it up, we were actually talking about it on RootZoo the other day and you brought up a couple we didn't point out. Have you been there yet? Ask this question there and you'll get some great responses from other baseball nuts…we could also use a few more Yankees fans over there. Check it out and set up a free screenname there, it's cool.
