Jerry Hairston, Jr Leaves Yankees, Heads to Padres
I always knew Jerry Hairson, Jr. didn’t like the pressure of New York. The mild-mannered sensitive utility man went to the Sand Diego Padres where his brother Scott Hairston is. I guess since Jerry got his World Series ring, he wants to relax and feel comfortable in San Diego with his brother. Hairston would have been a good and versatile utility player for the Yanks in 2010 but it’s not the end of the world.
Johnny Damon is still unsigned and now you have to wonder what Brian Cashman and Scott Boras are thinking. Although I have faith in Brett Gardner, I don’t think anyone in the Yankees organization does, so if they are going to bring Damon back, let’s get it done already.
Speaking of 2009 Yankees leaving: Eric Hinske signed with the Braves. This is Bobby Cox’s last year with the Braves, and Hinkse has a World Series streak going, so let’s see if he’s a good luck charm (I doubt it).
Jose Molina is still a free agent.
Here’s news about players not mentioned by the Yankees and Brian Cashman anymore:
Shelly Duncan has signed a minor league deal with the Cleveland Indians. I hope he makes their team at the major league level.
Cody Ransom signed a minor league contract with the Phillies.
Scott Boras is telling teams that X-Man, Xavier Nady is “ahead of schedule” from Tommy John surgery.

Bye Jerry Hairston. Hang out with your brother with the Padres. To me you were not really Yankees material. You tried hard enough though.
Boras got rid of alot of players!
I hope he resigns DAMON!
