Brian Cashman Calls Joe Torre’s Book Garbage
Brian Cashman called Joe Torre’s book The Yankee Years “garbage” at a recent WFAN press conference. Cashman was unusually frank in his exchange with the fans and WFAN’s loudmouth Mike Francesa. I don’t want to mislead you with the headline: that was the only messed up thing Cashman said a few days ago at this function.
Mike was actually the jerk again- as he attacked Cashman for starting Joba Chamberlain instead of converting him into a full time relief pitcher. Francesa simply would not let Brian speak, and totally was pig-headed about it.
Anyway, Cashman did confirm that he will not be buying any high-priced relief pitchers, and the Yankees will use homegrown bullpens.
Now, as far as Joe Torre’s book: Cashman ripped it because he said he was not interviewed for it, and never had a chance to give his side of the story. Sounds like someone I used to know. Sorry, Brian, you don’t get a chance for your side in Joe Torre’s book.

Cashman did not like Torre's book because it is like looking into the mirror and seeing the truth staring right back at you!
But if he said the book was garbage, that proves he read it now, doesn't it?
Don Mattingley should ne inducted in to the hall of fame. More on this subject soon.
