John Wetteland hospitalized
Former New York Yankees closer John John Wetteland was hospitalized; reports are conflicting. The local police say that John John Wetteland ’s wife called them saying that he was depressed and wanted to commit suicide, while the Seattle Mariners (where John Wetteland is bullpen coach) are just reporting his increased heart rate.
Joe Torre, Mariano Rivera, and David Cone all expressed their shock and concern and they will be contacting him off the record to make sure he’s okay when the time is right.
John Wetteland has been released and is resting now.Wetteland suffered from depression and other issues when he was younger but had become a Born Again Christian. He was always known for being enthusiastic and being a deep thinker.
