Twins beat Tigers in Tiebreaker Thriller
I watched Game 163 last night to scout the Yankees ALDS opponent. I was expecting a close game, and I saw a timeless classic. Both the Tigers and Twins are not superpowers by any means, but they played one of the best baseball games I ever saw. It felt like 1991 all over again for the Twins. They have been the hottest team in baseball- they were 7 games behind the Tigers in September- but they forced the tiebreaker and won in dramatic fashion with a 6-5 win in 12 innings at the Minnesota Metrodome.
The Minnesota Twins became the first baseball team history to win their division after trailing by three games with four left to play.
