Is A-Rod a good guy now?

Here’s a NEWSFLASH for you- Alex Rodriguez once again hit at least 30HR and 100RBI for the 12th straight season even though he missed the first month-and-a-half of the 2009 season, and his hip is still not 100%. Alex finished with a .285 batting average and an on-base-percentage of .402, and was technically the best 3B in baseball when it comes to advanced stats.

A-Rod did all of this after his reputation was ruined due to his embarrassing steroid scandal, sex scandals, and stories of being a phony, dumb brute, and bad teammate. The MEDIA now regards Albert Pujols as the best player in the baseball.

A-Rod no doubt still is the most hated player in baseball but the coverage has died down since A-Rod’s “tell-all” book bombed. Not only has he quietly put up the offensive numbers we are all used to since A-Rod has been dating Kate Hudson, but he was blended in well with the team. Yankees team chemistry has never been higher since he has arrived back from the DL in May. The weight of the world is no longer on his chest, as everyone else in the lineup is healthy and producing.

A-Rod has been known as a post-season goat, and this surely will be brought up by TBS announcers Ron Darling and Chip Carey but my prediction is that the spotlight will not be on what A-Rod doesn’t do this October. He may actually repair his post-season reputation, or at least not be the center of negative attention this time around.
