CC Sabathia destroys Angels in ALCS Game 4, Yanks bats score 10
CC Sabathia on 3 days rest? No problem. CC Sabathia once again went 8 dominant innings, and got out of a minor jam for his third win of the postseason and second vs the Angels. CC Sabathia is the 2009 version of 1986 Mike Scott, so if the Angels manage to push Game 7 at Yankee Stadium they are asking for for trouble. Although ALCS Game 4 will be remembered as more evidence that CC Sabathia is a clutch performer, it unfortunately will be highlighted by bad umpire calls, as explained by Tony Vahl.
Scott Kazmir was treated like a kid by the Angels management and by the fans. Of course, he acted like a kid- sliders in the dirt, unable to read Mike Napoli’s signs, etc. Scotty lasted 4 innings and couldn’t run the with Big Dog, CC Sabathia.
A-Rod continued his excellent bid to win the ALCS MVP Award, although CC Sabathia may also have a shot. Melky Cabrera finally joined the fun as well. Johnny Damon hit another HR, so much for benching him, huh MEDIA? Robinson Cano forgot the rules of baseball but at least he is hitting now.
With CC Sabathia pitching the way he did, Joe Girardi did not have to overmanage, micromanage, or overthink this time. CC Sabathia made him look like a genius last night. The only move Girardi made was putting in Chad Gaudin to mop up in the 9th. Gaudin looked fantastic even though he hadn’t pitched in this century.
FOX ANNOUNCER JOE BUCK was his usual bad self last night.

Umpires only are good callers when they are for the yankees! Other wise they really are terrible frustrated ball players! They never became a player so they went to umpiring school (6 weeks) and think they can call a game. Important games are just that! Very important. I like Angel Hernandez for personal reasons!
Great game last night and C.C. rode his train all the way home, now that's something very special!
