Francisco Cervelli walk-off hit

It looked like the Yankees were going to lose to the Toronto Blue Jays, but you just have to have faith. The Yankees broke their franchise record for come-from behind victories at Yankee Stadium last night after Godzilla Matsui tied it with a 2-run HR to make it 4-4. After defensive replacement Brett Gardner got a single in the 9th, he stole 2nd, and Derek Jeter moved him over to 3rd. Then the unlikely hero- another defensive replacement Francisco Cervelli- got the game winning single. A.J. Burnett cream pied him. Whereas the 1st game of this series was marred with fighting, last night was a celebratory mood.

Chad Gaudin had a good effort: 5.2 innings, 3 runs. Thankfully, Phil Hughes and Mariano Rivera locked things down in the 8th and 9th.

“walk off” means the other team is forced to walk off the field after watching the other team lose. So it was stil a walk off

I still believe Kirk Gibson's was the greatest walk off in baseball history. pinch hit with two bad knees, 3-2 the count, and off of a hall of famer Dennis Eckersly.
