History was made in Chicago as the Yankees Melky Cabrera hit for the cycle, as the Yanks salvaged the 4th game against the White Sox. The marquee matchup of CC Sabathia vs Mark Buehrle did not live up to its billing. I think the question we should be asking now is “What’s wrong with CC Sabathia?”- his K-rate is down from last year, and his ERA is higher. I wouldn;t be suprised if he was hiding an injury.
Anyway, yesterday was Melky’s Day. Congrats for the cycle, and leading the Yankees to an 8-5 victory.
Mariano Rivera got save #30. Joe Girardi was feeling the pressure by removing Phil Hughes in the 8th with 2 outs. I would have prererred he let Phil work out of it.
