Hideki Matsui and Jorge Posada’s back to back HR

After 7 innings of mediocrity, it looked like the Yankees were going to lay down to the Toronto Blue Jays thanks to a typical Joba Chamberlain 4 runs in 6 innings start. Thankfully, the Yankees staged a rally with 4 runs in the 8th, including a disputed Jorge Posada HR. Hideki Matsui was the spark to this inning.

The bullpen reserves did a great job in keeping the game 5-4: Bruney, Coke, Robertson combined for 2 scoreless innings. Mariano Rivera had a slight hiccup in the 9th, but still got his 32nd save. Final score 7-5 Yankees. Derek Jeter and Johnny Damon each had 3 hits, and Melky Cabrera had 2 insurance run RBI. Robinson Cano had 2 hits.
