Yankees win 3/4 from A’s

By DailySkew

Clutch hitting from Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano, and Mark Teixeira plus a great bullpen performance by Phil Hughes and Mariano Rivera resulted in a Yankees win over the Oakland A’s.

Yankees 5th starter Sergio Mitre and Phil Coke were shaky at best. Brian Bruney got a big strikeout to hand the ball to Mo, who once again got the save.
This was an exciting back-and-forth game. The Red Sox lost, and the Yanks are back to 2.5 games up.
Al Leiter and Paul O’Neil have great chemistry and double teamed the sarcastic Michael Kay.

Congratulations to RICKEY HENDERSON who gave a humble Hall of Fame induction speech!

I enjoy the game when Paul O Neill is there in the booth!! I miss Coney though! But he was watching the game at home or some place like a sports bar, perhaps?
Way to play Yankees. I still think that they should be friendly towards Sergio! I do not care if the man is there for one month!!
I cannot believe that not one "high five" was offered to him after the game, but Bruney gets hugs!! ugh!
