More Curt Schilling Hall of Fame Talk

I had to laugh out loud- in a sick Joker or Riddler way- yesterday. I was watching a YES Network interview with Kevin Millar and a rookie girl announcer whose name I can never recall. Anyway, she said (paraphrasing): “Kevin, you are now with the Blue Jays and see Roy Halladay up close, how does he compare with the other future Hall of Famers you’ve played with like Pedro Martinez and Curt Schilling?”

It seems as if the Curt Schilling Hall of Fame notion is really going to continue to pick up steam. Granted his post-season stats are great, and he helped Reverse the Curse, but he’s had so many seasons on the DL or struggling. To me, he was always a solid #2 starter, although he’s had ace-like years occasionally.

Anyway, the big battle will be when Curt Schilling and Mike Mussina will be on the same ballot. Mike has the edge in so many different categories…except “intangibles”.

Been there, my boy. Been there. The problem is, every time you hit S9 E24, you kind of feel like re-watching it one more time. This show is like a cyclic addiction.
