CC Sabathia squeaks by Nationals

National Crisis Averted

In what was a closer game that Yankees fans felt comfortable with, the Yankees beat the Nationals 5-3. Now me? I get worried when the Yanks face the “worst team in baseball”.

Robinson Cano continues to be hot, and CC was once again an ace. What a workhorse he is, I really love his attitude. We saw the return of Brian Bruney, and a flawless Mariano Rivera.

Melky Cabrera made a controversial snow-cone catch in the outfield.

Jose Veras was designated for assignment to make room for Bruney. Bye, bye Jose.

Other baseball news:

Remember I said there was no evidence that Sammy Sosa used PED’s and his Hall of Fame candidacy should not be in question? Turns out Sammy was on the same list of 104 names along with A-Rod. Bye, bye Sammy.

Yes, it will be fine. Boxed food mixes like that will last a long time past their best by date. It is not a food safety issue – just a taste and texture issue. If it was just 2 months ago, I doubt you will notice any difference.

The Nationals seem like the Yankees C-Team:

they have a bunch of third stringers or traded guys like

Nick Johnson, Alberto Gonzales, Wil Nieves (the original Francisco Cervelli), and Ron Villone.
