Mookie Wilson’s thoughts on Citi Field and 1986

Speaking of time-line erasing and retroactive continuity in the Star Trek universe, let’s check out the Mets’ version of history from Mookie Wilson:
“I’ve only been [to Citi Field] once, and I was a little bit disappointed, but I’m giving them time. Let’s give them time to create the atmosphere that they want to portray, then make that judgment.”
“I was a little surprised I didn’t see [references to the 1986 World Series championship] inside. To not put that in there would be denying part of your past – part of your rich past. We’ll have to wait and see. I think the ‘86 team would like to be known as the signature of the Mets … you’d have to talk to upper management to see what they want to portray the team as. That’s my hope. I have no hard feelings at this point.”
“Give me a break. I’m not going to comment on that.”

Welcome to New Yawk.
Everyone has there 15 seconds or is it minutes of fame. The parachute guy paid a heavy price for his time by serving it!
Mookie Wilson was a “favorite” of
met fans!! We (yeah i was a met fan in “86″) loved to cheer “MOOOO”
and now we yank fans had our own “
mooooo” for Mussina…
The 1986 mets team put the mets
in a hall of fame calibur in my mind. The mets mgt. should retire
