WWE: Return of Vince McMahon on RAW was great

Sorry, Mr. McMahon. I ripped you last week, predicting you would hog Monday Night RAW and spout some political rant and take away from your WWE superstars, but you proved me wrong. Vince McMahon allowed his performers to work for 2 hours before making his on-screen return at the end of the show. His segment overran RAW’s timeslot, and was finished at 11:18PM, so he didn’t take anything away, and the hype for his return was low key until around 10:50 PM.
The actual angle was excellent. As I predicted “Mr. McMahon” is a “good guy” now, and he and his daughter Stephanie (now also “good”) made Chris Jericho (bad guy) grovel for his job back after being “fired” last week.
The fans were really into it, especially since Chris had been insulting the fans’ integrity and intelligence in recent months.
After being reinstated and being activated to be in THIS SUNDAY’S ROYAL RUMBLE, out came Randy Orton (bad guy). He had insulted Stephanie earlier- telling her that the only reason she has a job is because of her daddy, and how she is not a virtuous woman (I’m being polite here). That resulted in Steph slapping Randy in the face, and a very intense stare down.
Anyway, Orton came out and demanded an apology, and wanted Vince to punish his daughter. After he refused, Randy got personal with his insults again, and Steph had to be escorted out after she went after him. Vince defended his daughter’s honor, got very upset, and lashed into Randy verbally: he said that he owns the WWE Universe ™ and that he made his mediocre dad Cowboy Bob Orton into a WWE Hall of Famer, and that Randy would be a gym school teacher in St. Louis if it wasn’t for Vince. Vince said how much it should have been an honor and privilege for Randy to even be in this ring, and Vince demanded Randy apologize or be fired.
Randy, unlike Jericho, refused, and stood up to this powerful authority figure. Before Vince could say, “You’re fired!” Randy punched him in a fit of rage. He then proceeded to punt kick Vince’s head while he was on the mat. The hit was “real”- direct shot. Randy snapped back to reality and was shocked and didn’t know what to do (storyline). Security and EMT came to stretcher Vince away (neckbrace, of course) and Steph came out and was crying.
Vince will be off camera for a while, and Randy has been cemented as the #1 heel in the WWE, in addition to getting sympathy from those who don’t like Vince. (Some fans were chanting “RKO! RKO!”)
