Mike Piazza Book
Coming in 2010: Mike Piazza's "memoirs" (his term).The press release says:
"Piazza will discuss those episodes in detail, as well as describe his tumultuous relationships with the Los Angeles Dodgers, their front office and Tommy Lasorda. He will also talk about the personalities and players from his days with the Mets, including Bobby Valentine, Pedro Martinez, and Rickey Henderson and many others."Any fans expecting Piazza to talk about his alleged gay lover Sam Champion, steroid use, or his hatred for Roger Clemens will be severly disappointed. Piazza is a born again Christian who wants to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on the 1st ballot. I doubt we will get any true tidbits or gossip in this book.

Why/when did the Sam Champion/Piaaza rumors start?
Two unconfirmed rumors:
1) Back when Mikey was with the Mets a contractor told someone that claims that a giant house was being built for Sam Champion and Mike Piazza.
2)Sam Champion went into his police precinct and filed a domestic abuse complaint against his partner, Mike Piazza.
This "memoir" will be snooze-fest. I've already read numerous interviews Mikey gave in recent years. He has totally forgiven Clemens, and never says a bad word about anyone due to his love of Jesus.
Pass.
I heard they're also making a movie about his life. With theme music by Diana Ross of course.
Maybe Sam will write abook one day...now that will be truer than this one
Can't wait to find out why he wouldn't play in Vero Beach. That's worth a sneak peek at the library or the bookstore.
I def. will be checking out this book from the library, knowing full well what to expect.
