Manager of the Year: Lou Pinella and Joe Maddon

Joe Maddon won the AL Manager of the Year. There is no doubt that he helped the Tampa Bay Rays go from last place to first place in the American League. I may not like Maddon but I have to give him credit where credit is due.
Maddon is a strict manager and focused on fundamentals, training, and discpline for three years with the Rays, after spending his career in the Angels organization.
Lou Pinella won the NL Manager of the Year. He managed the best Chicago Cubs team since 1945, and they were arguably the best team in the National League. This is the third time Sweet Lou won the Manager of the Year Award.
Pinella is one of the most famous managers, and is known for his fiery temper. Ironically, he lost patience and gave up on the Rays in 2005, and Joe Maddon took over the Rays in 2006.
