A-Rod accidentally admits Yankees have no chance

On the heels of the Seattle Mariners defeating Andy Pettitte and Mike Mussina, the Toronto Blue Jays are now a half game in front of the New York Yankees in the Wild Card race.

(Boston leads, Minnesota is 6.5 back, Toronto is 8 back, and the Yankees are 8.5 back.)

A reporter asked A-Rod about that, and he said:

Toronto’s been playing really well. I’ll tell you what; a lot of people should be happy they’re not in the playoff race, because they would be the scariest team with the 1-2 punch they’ve got over there with Halladay and Burnett.”

The reporter asked him, following that line of reasoning, if he believes that the Yankees are out. A-Rod responded as follows:

“I’m too tired to answer that. You confused me on that one.”

IN OTHER NEWS:

Joe Torre’s LA Dodgers SWEPT the Arizona Diamondbacks to stake a 1.5 game lead over them in the NL West; the Dodgers have won 8 in a row.

Hopefully, we SEE YOU IN OCTOBER, Joe.

a-rod does not even deserve to be mentioned on the daily skew or any other site that is truthful. the man was wearing a GUCCI suit! where
does he get the GRAPE FRUITS to prance around like that when he should be depressed because his team is not in the race! but i guess being A-ROD “it doesn’t matter if your team looses”! aka
    the Rock!
i love Joe Torre and wouldn’t it be
a kick in the yanks organization if
the dodgers made it to the world series? hmmmmm.

Time to start reporting on the Dodgers stretch run, Damian.

It might be painful to Brian Cashman, but I think it’s important for all Yankees fan to relive some of the Torre magic.

i agree with Vahl, let’s watch some Torre magic! that would shut-up cashman and his whole party of
k.k.k. members and the person leading the hate parade is none
other than bud himself. joe should
say to him: “hey bud” this one’s for you!
