Game 29: Tigers rip Pettitte, 6-2

Andy Pettitte (3-3, 3.93) hit the showers after 6 innings after being a victim of Detroit’s homeruns, as the Tigers won the series at Yankees Stadium last night.

Jeremy Bonderman (2-2, 3.86) was held the Yankees offense in check after a shaky 1st inning. Fans at the Stadium had nothing to cheer about, besides Melky Cabrera’s (.299)two hits.

The LaTroy and Kyle Show combined for 2 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk, and 1 run.
Edwar Ramirez pitched his 2nd night in a row, allowing no runs on 1 hit and 1 K. Looks like he mixed up a slider instead of just throwing his 94MPH fastball and 58MPH changeup.

After April: Damon, Jeter, Abreu, and Alberto Gonzalez are in their .270′s. Giambi and Cano are batting .164 and .151 respectively. Jose Molina, who is taking over for an Icon, is batting .231. Godzilla has been the best Yankees hitter, at .322.

The Hughes news last night was that Phil Hughes was placed on the 15-day DL (strained oblique), joining Jorge Posada and A-Rod. Darrell Rasner may be called up because he was doing great in Scranton.

clemens could make a million dollars (ha, ha) by having a
reality game show on t.v. called
    “who do you trust”.
    mr.wonderful isn’t so wonderful
any more to me and i am sure many
    fans he used to have!
    i am disappointed that pettitte
    thought clemens was his God.
andy should have went to the teams dr. and talked about his injury, but he “trusted” his good buddy
    the rocket man.
i have no comment myself about last
nights game, so let us move on. ok?
