The Return of David Cone

February 7, 2008
By DailySkew

David Cone signed a two-year deal with the YES network. He was some appearances to make in the broadcasting booth, and some appearances as a pre- or post game analyst. He will effectively be taking Joe Giraldi’s place. I look forward to Cone telling it like is while calling Yankees games when I watch them on MLB.TV. Maybe he will put good ol’ Michael Kay in his place.

IT’S ABOUT TIME WE SAW OR HEARD DAVID CONE SPEAK AGAIN!! I WOULD
LOVE TO HEAR CONEY TELL MICHAEL K
WHERE TO “GET OFF” IF K SAYS SOMETHING DEROGATORY ABOUT A YANKEE
PLAY OR PLAYER DURING A GAME!
    LONG MAY DAVID CONE REIGN!

I’m happy he’s back. His perspectives of the game and the personal stories and insights he has will be great. He may not be used to all the RULES the YES network has (can’t talk about steroids, Clemens, etc.) but Coney will be exciting no matter what.
